Juan Jose Güemes joined IE Business School in March 2010, as President of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. He had previously served in a broad range of government departments, including tourism, finance and employment, gender policies, and health care. Güemes began his career as an analyst at the Bank of Spain in 1991, before serving as Economic Policy Adviser to Spain’s Popular Party in the Spanish Parliament from 1993 to 1996. He later served as advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, who appointed him Deputy Director of his Cabinet in 1998. In the year 2000 Juan Jose Guemes was appointed General Secretary of Tourism, being responsible for the international promotion of Spain as a tourist destination. In 2003, he was appointed as Minister for Employment and Diversity. He developed the LiderA program, designed to help women gain access to senior management positions in companies. In January 2012 he was appointed VP of Economic Affairs at IE.

Carlos was a leader of the team at CNBV who issued electronic banking regulation that includes measures covering ATM and POS transactions and mobile payments mobile banking. He initiated the implementation of branchless banking and the Financial Inclusion Program in Mexico. In 2013, he obtained the position of a Vice president of Operations at National Savings Commission (CONSAR), where he was responsible for the supervision and regulation of more than 60 million retirement savings accounts in Mexico. He introduced different security and operational measures to protect these accounts and a program to facilitate the reception of domestic deposits in commercial establishments and mobile phones.

Emma is the founder of EUcapital, a Brussels-based consulting firm specializing in access to finance and equity instruments for startups. EUcapital offers its services to both public and private institutions. Emma has more than 20 years of professional experience in Brussels, including 12 years working in the European venture capital association ("EVCA", now "Invest Europe"). Since the creation of EUcapital, Emma has worked for different investor organisations, including the European Confederation of Business Angels (Business Angels Europe BAE) as well as for an international network of family offices founded in Belgium by a member of a family office. In 2016 Emma started to invest in startups and currently invests in Belgium and Spain. Emma is a member of two business angel networks: BE angels in Belgium and Women Angels for STEAM in Spain (WA4STEAM), a network of women investors who invest in leading technological startups.

Mr. Goren holds an MBA and professional specializations in the fields of risk management, the Internet and computers. Shlomi has 12 years of experience in C-level positions in the start-up and hi-tech industry, during which time three of the companies were sold to an American customer. Mr. Goren also owns Goren Consulting (since 2009), a boutique consulting company in Herzeliya, Israel helping local industry companies and startups to achieve their goals. Goren Consulting was founded after a long stay in the United States. During that time two Start-up companies Shlomi was involved in were successfully sold. The first one was Fitracks and the second one was an online platform of community shopping, which he co-founded and was the CEO of. Shlomi also successfully sold a web portal he created dedicated to shoe insoles. The site was sold to the shoe industry giant Aetrex. Goren Consulting's customers (the startups alone) have raised about 300 million NIS in the last 3 year alone.
